Day 41

I am still in Russia, at the north of St Petersburg, and more precisely near the Finland Gulf. I have no idea whether the winds will actually take me to Finland... Let me confess , I would rather go more southwards, because I am getting quite cold!

Beautiful! But I'm sure especially cold in a hot air balloon! Gorgeous photography, I love this story :)

Photography project : 80 days in a hot balloon

Let me introduce myself. My name is Aphiles.

For several months, I have been preparing

to take off on my hot balloon. I have always

wanted to be able to share my emotions

through my travels, and now this will be

possible.. In one week, I will take off and

show you, share with you this 80-days long

adventure. 80 days to travel round Europe,

where I will follow the winds.

Each week, I will send you my onboard

diary, and a picture of my travels above

European countries and cities.

I don't really yet know where each day

of the week we will stop, pushed around

by trade winds, squalls, and maybe even

storms - which I quite fear.

My aim during this trip is to bring you with

me, make you discover this beautiful Europe

through the landscapes which have been

occupying my dreams for many years, hoping

that all will go well.

I hope to see you soon, I am already eager

to send you my first impressions, at 400m

height, where only silence and the beauty

of nature will be my company.
