Day 25

Today, I am in Berlin, the capital of Germany. I love this city full of history and drama. Each step that you take in the streets recalls the history of the after-war.

Here's a photography of the Jewish memorial, which is very impressive, so immense, with a quiet and contemplative atmosphere...

J'aime beaucoup cette photo, Yann! Les couleurs, jaune, rouge et bleu--elles sont soulignées par la couleur gris. Sa composition est belle.

Photography project : 80 days in a hot balloon

Let me introduce myself. My name is Aphiles.

For several months, I have been preparing

to take off on my hot balloon. I have always

wanted to be able to share my emotions

through my travels, and now this will be

possible.. In one week, I will take off and

show you, share with you this 80-days long

adventure. 80 days to travel round Europe,

where I will follow the winds.

Each week, I will send you my onboard

diary, and a picture of my travels above

European countries and cities.

I don't really yet know where each day

of the week we will stop, pushed around

by trade winds, squalls, and maybe even

storms - which I quite fear.

My aim during this trip is to bring you with

me, make you discover this beautiful Europe

through the landscapes which have been

occupying my dreams for many years, hoping

that all will go well.

I hope to see you soon, I am already eager

to send you my first impressions, at 400m

height, where only silence and the beauty

of nature will be my company.
